Mevagissey (Meva) is a place with which our family has long had links. During World War 2, my Aunts Marjorie & Irene were evacuated to St. Austell along with hundreds of other war time children placed all over Cornwall.
My grandparents would travel down from Bristol to visit their daughters and would frequently stay in Meva. Subsequently the whole family would come to Meva for holidays, initially camping and then staying at Penwarne Farm, which is towards Portmellon. I have fond memories as a child and teenager of these holidays, hence the reason for buying the cottage.
No 3 Coastguard Cottage was my intial venture into holiday accomodation as a place for us to holiday as a family we have since bought the neighbouring cottage to accommodate the growing family and allow for friends to join us for cosy weekends away or summer BBQ’s. We would also like to extend this offer to you and your family and invite you to stay at in Mariners Lee, Mevagissey or one of the cottages on Daddyhole Plain in Torbay.
We are pleased to say that these cottages are not part of any travel company and never will be. They are family run cottages intended for use by families. Sandra Knott, your contact caretaker, and owners Adrian and Sally Knott would be pleased to have you as their guests at any time of the year.
If you have any questions please feel free to pick the phone up and speak to one of us or feel free to read some of our testimonials below. We have so many memories from our cottages and hope you to will become regular visitors.

It is a small, unspoilt fishing village with a colourful history of boat building and smuggling, which still retains its traditional character and nowadays has a selection of top quality pubs, restaurants and shops.
