The village of Crantock is very quaint, including thatched cottages and country pubs. It is a perfect destination for a holiday or stay as it offers many features you would expect for your holiday.
Crantock beach is considered to be one of the nicest beaches in the Newquay area. It is conveniently located about 5-minutes walk from the village itself. It sits at the mouth of the Gannel estuary, and it is backed by dunes. Over on the far end of the beach lies the headland of Pentire Point West.
The Gannel estuary is perfect for wildlife lovers. At low tide, it is possible to explore the cave and see if you can spot the rock carvings that are more than 100 years old.
There is a beautiful walk from the back of The Bowgie Inn, and you walk to Poly Joke. As you walk across the fields to Poly Joke, depending on the time of the year, you may pass fields of poppies.
